Maisons de Mode is a unique project whose mission is to identify, guide and support young designers in France. Behind this high-end fashion show is the thread mobilising and supporting seven young emerging designers who have chosen the North of France as the place to develop themselves and their labels. This operation promoting young designers in the Hauts-de-France region resulted in a fashion show with 40 looks trotting the MCFW catwalk, by young fashion designers, such us Philippe Périssé, Hélène Boulanger, Orlane Herbin, Alexandre Nicaud, Françoise André, Lucie Brochard and Frank Laureys, who participated for the first time in the MCFW, in front of fashion journalists, and international buyers. After having being selected, the designers met with local businesses – such as lace makers and weavers – who supply top fashion houses, to make their top quality materials available to them. The results were evident in the beautiful creations by these young designers unveiled to the public during the MCFW.
