Described by Suzy Menkes as India's national treasure, Rahul Mishra showcased his SS2019 capsule collection at the MCFW© 2018. Following his debut at Lakme Fashion Week, Mishra became the first non-European designer to win a scholarship at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy. He was awarded the MTV Youth Icon in India, and won the International Woolmark Prize in 2014 at Milan Fashion Week, becoming the first Indian designer to be recognised with this award, previously bestowed to fashion icons such as Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent. The talented Mishra became known for incorporating traditional Indian textiles, and handmade artisanship to his designs, and has showcased his work at fashion weeks in London, Dubai, Australia, and is a regular in the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week. Rahul Mishra believes, “Sustainability isn’t just a desire, it’s a necessity." Rahul Mishra is also the brand ambassador of Istituto Marangoni Paris, thus he is involved in the life of the school by participating to the Istituto Marangoni Advisory Committee, taking part to some industry projects, doing lectures about sustainability and giving advices to the students.
