AltaRoma, Rani Zakhem FW 2017-18

Rani Zakhem is usually to be inspired in his haute couture collections by Grand Balls at the beginning of the past century, amazing parties at newyorker iconic club Studio 54 and glamour of great hollywoodian divas. In this haute couture fall/winter 2017-18 stars in the sky are the absolute protagonists but, he is so in love with his usually inspirations that they become just a marvellous decorations for cuts, shapes and silhouette that he always loved to realize in his career in the fashion world.

Architect and designer, Rani Zakhem enlights every outfit with cascade of new shine through décor and sparkling embroideries. In a collection that is a veritable kaleidoscope of colors, the extraordinary sculptural dresses in silk organza, chiffon, tulle and satin are masterpieces of class and style.

The lilac bustier and cyclamen are illuminated thanks to precious silver sketches and waistline is emphasized by a trompe l'oeil embroidery that look like almost an exploding star, powerful vision that immediately seduces eyes and mind,

The transparent dress of sequins in different shades of purple hides between its folds stylized flames, while remarkable are the sand-colored tulle outfits full of golden details, scarlet red silk fourreau enhanced by silver crystals and star make unique and special the draped dresses with fabrics in a refined sunflower nuance.

In the black dresses also the star are obscure and show their dark side, but it's just a little blackout, light comes back and on the catwalk we cand admire two wonderful creations, pleated gown sprinkled with gold stars and the homage to Art Deco in black wide skirt surrounded by gold dust  which slopes gently to the bottom.

Seductive and surprising the wedding dress, white as snow and crossed by a gentle cascade of stars. Romantic and bright, it is the symbol of the great talent of the amazing couturier Rani Zakhem.
