In the heart of Marrakech, the sumptuous El Badi palace sparked at the Maria Grazia Chiuri 2020 cruise parade. A journey out of time, studded with rich savoir-faire.
Fabric of the meeting of cultures, the wax is the leitmotiv of this show presented in Marrakech. To enhance it, Maria Grazia Chiuri has collaborated with the Uniwax factory in Ivory Coast, whose atelier has reinterpreted the Dior codes, such as the reinterpretations of the toile de Jouy or the tarot. This special edition called "Christian Dior - Uniwax" dresses long and short bustier dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, jackets and trousers, as many liberty banners.
For a long time Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted to come into creative contact with the cultures of North Africa. She wanted to confront herself especially with the territory and the imagination of Morocco, a meeting point between the Mediterranean, Europe and Africa, a mirage for artists, poets, writers and eternal visitors.
This extraordinary collection has certainly celebrated the maison's goal !!
