The Association "Piazza di Spagna", in collaboration with Confartigianato Napoli, organizes the 19th edition of "Fashion in the shadow of Vesuvius" "Young Fashion Talents" Award, which will take place on 29 May 2020 in Torre del Greco (Na ).

The competition, now in its 19th edition, is configured as one of the most important events in the fashion sector, which sees the participation of numerous young people from all over Italy.

"Fashion in the shadow of Vesuvius" has always been and wants to be a real springboard for new and young designers who have the opportunity to confront the world of fashion. This is the fundamental aspect on which the initiative that sees the presence of the main exponents and experts of the sector, testimonials national and international, such as Raffaella Curiel, Valentino, Laura Pieralisi, Roberto Biagini, Enrico Coveri, Gattinoni and many others who have contributed to the training of young talents.

The educational and training value of this initiative is inescapable in fact, during the day of the final event, laboratory activities are carried out where young talents are in direct contact with great masters of the tailoring of Campania who with care and attention illustrate young techniques and methodologies for improve their preparation.
The main purpose of the competition is to start students to discover the job opportunities in the world of tailoring, in fact the winners of the "Young Talents of Fashion Award" are offered a training internship at nationally and internationally renowned Ateliers.

This year's theme is "Food as a source of Inspiration". Young talents will have to create a women's dress, including accessories, inspired by the world of food.
The competition is open to students from schools and fashion academies, schools for the two-year classes, graduates and first-time designers. The winners will be nominated for each competition category.
Information about the event is provided by television and press, through local, regional and national press.
The evaluation of the participants in the competition is entrusted to stylists and tailors belonging to the National Academy of Tailors.
During the evening, not only will the dresses made by the young designers fashion show, but the creations of well-known designers of the Neapolitan scene will also go on the catwalk, bussing the young talents on this fantastic pathway personal and professional growth.
