Wrangler launches zero impact denim

Wrangler, the iconic American brand of jeanswear, has devised a new denim dyeing process capable of eliminating 99% of the water normally used. This is an innovative foam dyeing methodology, which Wrangler is the first brand in the world to use.

Although they have managed to reduce 3 billion liters of water in product finishing over the last 10 years, the US company is aware that more needs to be done across the supply chain. Foam technology reduces water consumption and pollution further upstream, helping its suppliers drastically reduce the impact on denim production.

The Spanish producer of fabrics Tejidos Royo, will be the first to integrate the new process, called Dry Indigo, implementing the foam coloring machines in October and providing the first supplies to Wrangler by the end of the year.
